The Cameroonian start-up Songhai Labs signed a partnership with its Californian counterpart, datareach, to train statisticians and health professionals in Cameroon, on the use of big data and artificial intelligence in the fight against diseases and health monitoring in the country, we officially learned.
To date, said the management of Songhai Labs, training sessions and conferences have already been organised in this regard, at the National Institute of Statistics (INS), in the capital of the country, as well as the University of Buéa, in the South-Western region.
Led by Cameroonian Charles Awanda, a PhD student and researcher in organisational psychology, leadership and innovation, Songhai Labs offers a wide range of services to private citizens, organisations and companies with innovative ideas to implement in Africa.
The main services offered by this start-up are centred around creating a network for sponsors of innovative projects, to facilitate their implementation; the creation of joint ventures between creative start-ups; fundraising; business plans and project development. “Our ambition is to positively transform African societies, by sharing knowledge and innovation between countries and various sectors”, highlights the company.
