The managers of the Turkish company Yenigün, selected to build the Japoma stadium, in Douala, Cameroon, explained that the stadium is completed at 25%. Indeed, the stadium will be used for the AFCON 2019, which is to be hosted by Cameroon.
According to Yenigün, the construction works are progressing according to the calendar which plans for the stadium to be delivered in September 2018. The company thinks that it can meet the deadline since about 70% of the upper section will be made of prefabricated materials imported from Turkey.
The 50,000 seat stadium will also host two training grounds with stands, a gymnasium covered by 2 000 seats, an eight-lane Olympic sized swimming pool with 1000 seats, etc.
