(Agence Ecofin) – The Gabonese banking group announced in a press release having officially started its activities in Senegal.
“This new establishment strengthens the ambitions to expand of the group in Africa and more precisely in development zones with high potential such as the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA)” declared the BGFI Bank group CEO, Henri Claude Oyima, quoted in the release.
“Just like the other banking subsidiaries of the group, in line with a quality approach, BGFI Bank Senegal will put an emphasis on the quality of the services offered to its target clientele, large and medium-sized enterprises, SME-SMIs with high potential and investment clientele”, clarifies the bank in its communiqué.
In January, BGFI Bank announced having received authorisation from the financial authorities for the creation of a subsidiary in Senegal.
In addition to Senegal, the group is already operational in Gabon, Benin, Cameroon, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Madagascar, DR Congo and São Tomé and Príncipe.
