Last September 21, around 700 workers and executives of Camrail, Bolloré Transport & Logistics Cameroun, SEPBC (Douala’s lumber yard concessionaire), DIT (concessionaire of the Doaula port container terminal) and Havas, firms which are all owned by the Bolloré Group, marched in the streets of Douala, Cameroon’s economic capital, during the Marathon Day 2017.
According to executives of the group which specializes in logistics, in addition to marching on 6km, participants rehabilitated the New Deido primary school, also in Douala.
Launched in 2016, by the president of Bolloré Transports & Logistics, Cyrille Bolloré, the Marathon Day exalts values such as solidarity, cohesion, respect for others and humanism, the group indicates in an official document.
It should be noted that with close to 7,000 employees in Cameroon, “the Bolloré Group is one of the biggest employers in the country, after the State”. This was disclosed by the minister for work and social security, Gregoire Owona.
